Students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources of Stavropol State Agrarian University, studying in the direction of "Agronomy", participated in the seminar "Modern technologies in agriculture, problems of agriculture and ways to solve them", organized by JSC "Shchelkovo Agrokhim" under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory. The leaders of the group of participants were the head of the department of chemistry and plant protection, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences A.P. Shutko and associate professor Tuturzhans L.V.
The Minister of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov, welcomed the participants of the seminar, who emphasized the relevance and feasibility of using domestic plant protection products and agrochemicals in crop production of the region.
The general director of Schelkovo Agrokhim JSC, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Salis Dobaevich Karakotov spoke about the latest scientific developments in the field of creating new formulations of plant protection products, as well as original combinations of active substances.
Continuing, the firm’s experts elaborated on the technology of application and effectiveness of individual fungicides and special fertilizers.
The discussion continued with a presentation by Vyacheslav Viktorovich Dridiger, the head of the branch of the Rosselkhoztsentr in Stavropol Territory, who described the phytosanitary situation of winter grain crops in Stavropol Territory. Sergey Vladimirovich Chebanenko, Director General of Agroholding Energomera LLC, shared the positive experience of using plant protection products and agrochemicals of Shchelkovo Agrokhim in crops of winter wheat and sunflower with agricultural producers of the region.
When discussing the results of the seminar, students noted the heuristic nature of the event, the high level of illustrative material and the availability of presentation.
