New textbook for students of the specialty "Veterinary Science"

A new textbook “Obstetrics, Gynecology and Biotechnology of Animal Reproduction” has been published (edited by Doctor of Veterinary Science, Academician of the International Academy of Agrarian Education, Professor G.P. Dyulger). The team of authors included the Honored Scientist of the RSFSR, the republics of Dagestan and Karachay-Cherkessia, honorary worker of higher education and the agro-industrial complex of Russia, professor of the department of physiology, surgery and obstetrics Nikitin Viktor Yakovlevich.

The textbook was created in accordance with the Federal educational standard of the Russian Federation and the programs of teaching this subject at the faculties of veterinary medicine of agricultural universities of the Russian Federation. It differs from similar educational publications in the integration of modern knowledge of veterinary gynecology in the broad sense of the word into a single educational system.

The textbook deals with the organization of obstetric aid, presents techniques of special obstetric examination, details of the classic obstetrics on the physiological and complications during pregnancy and childbirth, obstetric operations. The current data on the pathogenesis, treatment and prevention of the most common complications of pregnancy are presented.

The structure of the textbook, the order of presentation of the material, the use of international classifications, a specially compiled dictionary that is presented at the end of the textbook, illustrative material and a three-level self-control unit at the end of each chapter allow deeply and comprehensively to master this subject, to assess the priorities of domestic teaching. It is designed for students of the specialty 36.05.01 “Veterinary”, obstetrician-gynecologists and veterinary practitioners.
