On New Year's Eve, in the Stavropol State Agrarian University a Ph.D. dissertation by Valeria Valerievna Kukushkina a postgraduate student of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Physiology of the Stavropol State Agrarian University on the theme "The impact of rock on agrochemical indicators of leached chernozem and crop yields" was defended. The thesis was defended on the basis of the data on the stationary of the Department of Soil Science named after V.I. Tulpanov.

The research supervisor is a doctor of agricultural sciences, a professor at the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, an honored agricultural worker, a professor at the Russian Academy of Sciences — Alexander Esaulko.

The official opponents were Dzanagov Sozyrko Khasanbekovich, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, head of the department of argo-chemistry and soil science FSBEI HE "Gorsky State Agrarian University" and Onishchenko Lyudmila Mikhailovna, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor of the department of agrochemistry FSBEI HE "Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubinin.

The leading organization - Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter I - in its positive review, signed by Konstantin Yegorovich Stekolnikov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry, Soil Science and Agroecology, indicated that V.V. Kukushkina’s research was based on large experimental material proved that the joint use of rocks increases the yield and quality of winter wheat, sunflower and corn, and received data allow us to recommend the development of technology in the farms of the Stavropol Territory. During the debate, the uniqueness of the work of the author and its important scientific and practical importance was noted. The author for the first time in the conditions of the Central Ciscaucasia studied the effect of the addition of shell limestone, apatite and phosphogypsum on the agrochemical indices of leached chernozem and crop productivity of the crop rotation link. Taking into account the value of crop yields, an economic assessment of the effectiveness of the use of rocks is given.

The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that on the basis of the conducted studies, scientifically based recommendations on the most effective doses of meleorant applied on leached black soil have been established and proposed for implementation.

The dissertation council D220.062.03 made the unanimous decision to award Valeria Valeryevna Kukushkina with a degree in agricultural sciences in the specialty 06.01.04 - agrochemistry.
