The German publishing house Lambert Academic Publishing published a monograph “The strategy of milk production and processing at the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. Comparative analysis and development of development scenarios ", prepared by scientists of the economic faculty of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The authors are: associate professors of the Department of Economic Theory and Economics of Agro-Industrial Complex Agalarova E.G., Kosinova E.A., Gunko Yu.A.
The monograph contains industry analysis of the production of milk and dairy products in Russia and the Stavropol Territory taking into account modern realities. An economic assessment of the state of the market for milk and dairy products is given. Product and geographical boundaries, the capacity of the regional industry market are defined. Producer prices and their determinants are analyzed; the results of a consumer survey are presented, trends in the consumption of dairy products are identified.
Based on the SWOT-analysis of commodity producers in the region specializing in dairy cattle breeding, a strategy for the production of milk and dairy products is economically justified, and scenarios for the development of dairy production have been developed for individual farms, including taking into account government support.
The monograph is recommended for use in scientific, educational activities of teachers, graduate students of universities, researchers, as well as in the practical work of specialists in the agricultural sector to substantiate the strategy for the future development of dairy production.
