Agrarian University honored the hero of the day

On January 14, 2019, the faculty of agrobiology and land resources held a ceremonial meeting of the academic council of the faculty dedicated to the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the doctor of agricultural sciences, professor AGEEV VALENTIN VASILEVICH.

The ceremonial meeting of the academic council was opened by the dean of the faculty, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Yesaulko Alexander Nikolaevich who gave the floor to the Rector of the University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor Trukhachev Vladimir Ivanovich.

Vladimir Ivanovich heartily congratulated the hero of the day, giving him thanks for his many years of diligent work, a cash bonus, and wished for good spirits, long life and inexhaustible energy in the field of science. But the main gift received by the hero of the day from the hands of the Rector of the University V.I. Trukhachev, was a monograph “The Basic Principle of Intensive Agriculture - crop rotation, fertilizer, irrigation”, released at the expense of the university for the jubilee of Professor V.V. Ageev.

The head of the department of agrochemistry and plant physiology, the candidate of agricultural sciences, associate professor Sigida Maxim Sergeevich told about the life and creative paths of the doctor of agricultural sciences, professor Ageev Valentin Vasilyevich.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Physiology, a graduate of the Agronomy Faculty of 2008 Oleynikov Andrei Yuryevich came to congratulate the happy anniversary V.V. Ageev. On behalf of the Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, graduate of the Agronomy Faculty of 1996 Sitnikov Vladimir Nikolaevich, Oleynikov Andrei Yuryevich awarded Ageev Valentin Vasilyevich with the medal "Honorary Worker of the AIC of the Stavropol Territory". For many years, Valentin Vasilievich devoted himself to the main issue of his life - the preservation and accumulation of soil fertility. Its developments are still used by scientists of the center of the agrochemical service "Stavropol", which on this solemn day came with warm words of thanks and wishes of health and longevity.

On behalf of all the agricultural chemists of the region, the director of the Stavropol Agrochemical Service, Vasily Pavlovich Egorov, congratulated the hero of the day. Anatoly Ivanovich Podkolzin, Doctor of Biological Sciences, a professor at the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, said that 85 years is the age of great wisdom that our hero of the day has accumulated. The invaluable life experience he has gained is appreciated by all his relatives and close ones.

On this holiday, the hero of the day received congratulations from his native department of agrochemistry and plant physiology, which he gave 44 years without much, as well as from his student, now dean of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Yesaulko Alexander Nikolaevich.

At the faculties of agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture, 90% of the staff are graduates of the agronomical faculty. On behalf of all the staff of the two faculties of the anniversary, the heads of the departments of the Doctor of Science Tskhovrebov Valery Sergeevich, Shutko Anna Petrovna, Vlasova Olga Ivanovna, associate professors Sigida Maxim Sergeevich, Romanenko Elena Semenovna, Loshakov Alexander Viktorovich and Okrut Svetlana Vasilyevna congratulated the hero of the day.

Many warm words addressed to his teacher on this day sounded from his students Grebennikov Vadim Huseynovich, Kabelchuk Boris Valentinovich, Mamaev Sapar Akhmatovich and many others, whom Valentin Vasilyevich gave a start in life. The students of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources pleased the birthday man and his guests with congratulations and a festive concert.

Valentine Vasilievich Ageev was born on January 14, 1934 in the distant steppe village of Sotnikovskoye, Blagodarnensky Area.

For more than 40 years, Valentin Vasilyevich has devoted himself to work at Stavropol State Agrarian University. More than 420 scientific and methodical works were published from his pen, including 4 monographs and 9 copyright certificates. Under his leadership, defended more than 20 Ph.D. and 6 doctoral theses. Among his students is the dean of the agronomic faculty and the faculty of plant protection A.A. Yesaulko, head of the department of livestock and fodder production V.G. Grebennikov and many others.

For valiant long-term work he was awarded the title of honorary worker of higher education of the Russian Federation, laureate of the State Scientific Scholarship of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as the medals "For Valiant Labor", "50 years of virgin lands development" and the Order of Honor.
