The governor of the Stavropol Territory held a meeting in the walls of the new building of the Agrarian University

On January 24, on the basis of the new educational and laboratory building of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, a meeting-conference “The state of winter crops in 2019” was held. The order of organization of forest belts and the necessary amount of funding, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

The event was held by the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirovich Vladimirov. Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, Rector of the SSAU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev warmly welcomed the guests in the walls of the new building of the university. The participants in the meeting were: First Deputy Prime Minister of the Stavropol Territory Nikolai Timofeevich Velikdan, Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov, Minister of Property Relations of the Stavropol Territory Alexey Gazarov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory Andrei Georgievich Khlopyanov, heads of municipalities, heads agricultural enterprises of the region.

Opening the conference, the head of the region noted that the Stavropol region is one of the active participants in the development of the national agro-industrial complex. Today, the region, in addition to high grain yields, declares itself an exit to the leading position in the country in the production of greenhouse vegetables, the introduction of new crops - including spices and cotton.

- The task of Stavropol today is to “grow” as an exporter. And not only grain, but also other agricultural products. With this purpose, it is planned to increase exports in the agricultural sector by 3.5 times from 20 million dollars to 1.1 billion dollars by the year 2024, Vladimir Vladimirovich Vladimirov emphasized.

The Minister of Agriculture reported on the state of winter crops and preparations for spring sowing.

Among the priorities in the development of the agro-industrial complex, the Governor also named the provision of soil fertility. Of fundamental importance for this is restoring order in the use of forest belts.

Now in the province is their cadastral registration. On the progress of this campaign, the Minister of Property Relations Alexey Alenikovich Gazarov informed the audience.

At the end of the meeting, the Governor thanked the Rector of the Agrarian University for the warm welcome. He noted that 90% of those sitting in the hall are graduates of the university, and urged not to forget the alma mater, to support and help the University in every way.

Everything that we managed to see is amazing! - noted the Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov. - Honor and praise to the faculty, and to Vladimir Ivanovich himself for the magnificent new building!

The rector sincerely thanked the Governor of the region for the colossal support in the construction of the new building.

Later, Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev conducted a tour of the guests in the new building, showed future lecture halls and laboratory classes, rooms of the assembly hall and library. Representatives of municipalities and agricultural enterprises admired the magnificence of the new building, the spaciousness, convenience and ultra-modern equipment of the new classroom fund.
