04.02.2019

From January 28 to February 9, 2019, the Vladimir Potanin Charity Foundation holds the second, full-time round of the competition for the receipt of Vladimir Potani's scholarship. Tests were held in seven cities of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Tyumen, Tomsk and Vladivostok. On February 2, a group of Master Degree Program students of Stavropol State Agrarian University visited Rostov-on-Don, where regional selections were held on the basis of Don State Technical University.

Qualifying events were held in the form of business games, solutions and case presentations. Participants demonstrated their creativity, erudition, ability to negotiate with each other and work in a team, presentation skills, and ability to work with information and think critically - all that characterizes a modern leader.

- Every year, during the winter holidays, almost 2,000 undergraduates from different parts of the country - from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad - gather at the sites of several universities participating in the Vladimir Potanin’s Scholarship Program to spend the whole day at an event called “full-time selection”, - commented the director of scholarship programs Natalia Shulgina. - Of course, the main purpose of the selection is to choose the “best of the best”, i.e. identify the nominee fellows of Vladimir Potanin this year. However, even just participating in face-to-face selection is a new professional and personal experience for students, since they are provided with an excellent opportunity to try their best and develop the necessary skills in business games, solving complex cases, preparing presentations and, not least, communicating with other young professionals.
