From January 28 to February 1, 2019, the 10th Health Olympics among the faculty members of Russian agricultural universities was held in Bryansk. Academic teaching staff members of Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the competition.
22 teams from different parts of the country, representing agricultural universities, competed in swimming, shooting, darts, cross-country skiing, chess, table tennis and volleyball.
The team of Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by the teachers of the department of physical education and sport: senior teacher, master of sports of international class, Elite of Russia in powerlifting, coach of the highest category Nina Mukhortova; Svetlana Vasilyevna Ivanova, Senior Lecturer, Master of Sports in Multiathlon of the TRP Complex (Polyathlon), the CMS in Track and Field Athletics, and the Senior Lecturer, Ivan Viktorovich Lyashov, the CMS in Mountain Tourism.
The Bryansk State Agrarian University met the athletes with a solemn concert and a fragrant loaf of bread.
Despite the fact that our team played a minimal composition, the teachers of the SSAU managed to bypass full-fledged teams in swimming, taking 8th place, and in urban sports – 5th. In the final team event, our teachers took the 18th place of the tournament table.
