Students of Stavropol Agrarian are THE BEST

That is how highly appreciated the professional qualities of animal science students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, the head of EKONIVA agricultural holding Stephan Dürr in an interview with Professor S.A. Oleinik in the framework of the XIII International Specialized Exhibition of Animal Husbandry and Breeding “AgroFarm 2019”, which was held from 5 to 7 February, 2019 on VDNH in the city of Moscow.

The annual international exhibition “AgroFarm” is rightfully considered to be the industry’s specialists as the main meeting point for livestock breeders in Russia. In 2019, the Agrarian Forum was held with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the National Union of Milk Producers “SOYUZMOLOKO”, the National Unions and associations for the production and breeding of livestock, pigs and poultry.

As part of specialized events, the leading role of the Stavropol State Agrarian University in improving the regulatory framework and the introduction of innovative developments for the accelerated development of pedigree dairy cattle breeding was repeatedly noted. In the speech of the O.G. Smirnova, Executive Director of the NGO Association of Producers of Cattle of Holstein Breed at the conference “Implementation of Pilot Projects for the Creation of the Pedigree Base of Dairy Cattle Breeding”, the importance of cooperation with the Stavropol State Agrarian University in introducing the methodology of the International Animal Registration Committee (ICAR) in dairy cattle breeding association enterprises. It is these issues that are the main ones in the Cooperation Agreement signed by the Rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.I.Trukhachev with the Association of Holstein cattle producers.

In his speech in the framework of the round table titled: “Farm activities for the formation of a reliable database in the breeding book of cattle of Holstein breed”, Professor of the Department of Private Zootechny and Animal Breeding, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences S. Oleinik informed colleagues from FSBI VNIIPLEM, LLC RC Plinor, NP Union of Animal Farmers of the Urals, LLC AF TRIO, and JSC Agroplom about the experience of the innovative Center for Management of High-Productive Genetic Resources in Dairy Cattle Breeding and development of a regional dairy herd management.

A promising area of ​​cooperation between the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the NGO “Association of Cattle Producers of the Holstein Breed” is recognized as conducting advanced training and training at the material and technical base of the faculty of technological management of breeding specialists in accordance with the implementation of the scientific direction for the development of effective dairy cattle breeding.
