On the basis of Stavropol State Agrarian University, a meeting of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Young Researcher: Opportunities and Prospects" was held

At the faculties of ecology and landscape architecture and agrobiology and land resources a plenary session of the All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Young Researcher: Opportunities and Prospects" was held. The event brought together young scientists not only of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, but also young researchers - students and schoolchildren of the Stavropol Territory and the South of Russia.

The conference was opened by the dean of the departments of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences - Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko. He said welcoming remarks to guests and participants of the conference on behalf of the leadership of Stavropol State Agrarian University, and personally on behalf of the Rector of the University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation - Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev.

Lyubov Vasilievna Maznitsyna, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the The Department of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Candidate of Biological Sciences, in a welcoming speech told about the scientific component during the training sessions. When obtaining knowledge, a practice-oriented vector of research is very important for performing bachelor and master studies.

Methodist of the Department of Environmental Education and Upbringing of the Regional Center for Ecology, Tourism and Local History - Nina Ivanovna Borisova introduced the young participants of the conference - schoolchildren of the Stavropol Territory and students of the Stavropol Construction Technical School. Scientific friendship and strategic partnership made it possible for many of today's students from school to develop their research skills and to continue their path to scientific achievements within our university.

The conference was led by the chairman of the student's scientific society of the The Department of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, the student Olga Zareva.

During the plenary session the following reports were heard:

· Boyko Vladimir, 2nd year student, The Department of Agrobiology and Land Resources on the topic: “Attempt to Greening. Stalin's plan for the transformation of nature "

· Kamenev Daniil, 2nd year student, The Department of Agrobiology and Land Resources on the topic: “Development of farming in Russia”

· Poltava Eugene, 2nd year student, The Department of Agrobiology and Land Resources on the topic “Biotechnological revolution in agriculture”

· Swedish Elizabeth, 1st year student, The Department of Ecology and Landscape Architecture on the theme: "Landscape design of a modern urban environment"

· Catherine Shulzhenko, 1st year student at the The Department of Ecology and Landscape Architecture on the subject of “Environmentally Competent Consumer”.

Of particular interest were the reports of very young scientists.

· Oleg Ganaga, a pupil of Grade 7 at Secondary School No. 7 in the village of Pregradnoye, presented the results of research on the effectiveness of “Ways of fighting moles in the garden”.

· Drozdova Angelika, a pupil of the 10th grade of Secondary School No. 12 in the village of Krasnogvardeiskoe, showed a “Comparative assessment of the productivity of wintering pea varieties”.

· Efremova Marina, a pupil of the 8th grade at Secondary School No. 12 in the village of Krasnogvardeiskoe, spoke about the peculiarities of growing cowpea vegetable variety Grafigna in the conditions of the unstable humidification zone of the Stavropol Territory.

In summing up the plenary session of the conference, Yulia Alexandrovna Bezgina, Deputy Dean for Research of the The Department of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, noted the importance of holding such meetings for developing oratorical skills, the ability to search and present scientific material, to use modern material and information resources. At the end of the event, Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko handed students the participant’s certificates. Schoolchildren, along with certificates, received letters of thanks for their supervisors, school principals, as well as sweet gifts.

According to the results of the conference, a collection of scientific papers will be published, which will be included in the Russian Scientific Electronic Library.
