On February 20, 2019, a solemn event dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day was held at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources.
Guests of honor were teachers and students who served in the ranks of the armed forces. Among them: the dean of faculties, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences - Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko, head of the Department of Soil Science named after V.I. Tulipov, Professor Valery Sergeevich Tskhovrebov, Associate Professor of the Department of Soil Science named after V.I. Tulpanov - Alexander Nikolaevich Marin and 15 students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture.
At the festive event they remembered another important event in the military history of Russia: 30 years ago, on February 15, 1989, the Soviet army completed the withdrawal of troops from the territory of Afghanistan.
And current students have much to be proud of! The dean of faculties Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko from 1985 to 1987 served in the Soviet Army as part of a limited contingent of troops in Afghanistan in the city of Kabul.
Many warm words were said to the male half of the faculties, but special words of thanks and congratulations sounded precisely for those who knew the harsh everyday soldier’s life.
For them and all those present, students and teachers of the Departments of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture prepared a small concert program. Associate Professor Chukhlebova N.S., students Spivak K., Kalin N., the ensemble of the Cossack song "Lel", the theater of the artistic word presented unforgettable moments of the holiday.
