Competitions were held in the village of Kurskaya and combined on one site teams of districts and cities of the Stavropol Territory, as well as individual athletes with technical training.
Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by first-year students: the accounting and finance faculty - Karina Zhukova and the electricity faculty - Vasily Samarin. The results that athletes deserved were awarded with gold medals.
The organizers of the open championship of the Stavropol Territory in powerlifting were: the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the region and the Powerlifting Federation of Stavropol.
The main goal of the competition is the development and popularization of powerlifting, the exchange of experience between athletes, coaches, judges, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. No less important tasks are to identify the strongest teams and individual athletes, strengthen friendship and develop sports ties with athletes of the regions of the Russian Federation, recruitment of national teams of the Stavropol Territory.
