Within the framework of the IX Winter Universiade of universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, an arm wrestling championship was held at Saratov State Agrarian University. 6 students from Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the competition.
The competition was attended by students from 19 agricultural universities of Russia. Athletes and guests of the championship were greeted by: the rector of the SSAU named after N.I. Vavilova Nikolai Ivanovich Kuznetsov and Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism of the Saratov Region Andrei Alexandrovich Abrashin. The panel of judges was headed by Igor Leonidovich Parapanov, the 1st category judge.
The first place in the category of two hands was confidently won by a student of the Economics department of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Akhmat Aybazov.
Stanislav Repko, a student of the faculty of Mechanization and agriculture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, won bronze in the left hand category.
The rest of the students, representing Stavropol State Agrarian University, are among the six strongest athletes of agricultural universities in Russia.
