Teachers of Accounting and Financial Faculty took part in a meeting of the working group under the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory

A meeting of the working group on the preparation and implementation of measures aimed at improving the financial literacy of the population of the region was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory, which was attended by teachers from the Department of Financial Management and Banking of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Stavropol Territory, Yury Ivanovich Suslov, who made a report on the results of work in 2018 and the tasks of implementing the regional program "Improving the financial literacy of the population of the Stavropol Territory and developing financial education in the Stavropol Territory for 2019-2023." Teachers of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova, Elena Nikolaevna Lapina, Lyudmila Anatolyevna Latysheva and the student volunteer group Financier were awarded for their active participation in the Federal Project to Improve Financial Literacy of the Population.

Coordinator of the regional program Nadezhda Ivanovna Gerasimenko presented a program of activities in the framework of the All-Russian Financial Literacy Week for Children and Youth in 2019. Each such event carries not only an educational and social mission, but also a contribution to the development of the Russian economy. Including thanks to the regular holding of Weeks, children, young people and their parents are learning to be responsible for their finances. It was noted that the holding of the Financial Literacy Week for children and youth in the territory of the Stavropol Territory has become a good tradition.

In the period from April 17 to April 24, 2019, intellectual battles will be organized for the students of the Agrarian University in the “What? Where? When? ”, Thematic quests, workshops, webinars, where participants can deal with basic financial concepts and principles of financially literate behavior, learn more about their financial rights, and discuss with experts how to competently approach their first financial decisions.
