Teachers and students of the Veterinary Department of Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the strategic session "Prospects for the development of the branch of medicinal plant growing and the training of industry specialists." This event is an educational project “AGRO-SCHOOL-PROF” for the development of medicinal plant growing in the Stavropol Territory.
The event was held within the framework of the implementation of the “Helsnet” House of Culture with the support of the National Association of Honored Doctors, the International Center for Engineering and Innovation, the Association of Producers and Consumers of Traditional Herbal Medicines, the Center for Competences of the Baikal Natural Territory, using the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
The session was attended by: Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Professor Vitaly Y. Morozov, teachers of the Chair of Therapy and Pharmacology and students of the Department of Veterinary Medicine.
The main objectives of the strategic session were:
1. Creating a regional model "from field to counter" in the field of cultivation, harvesting, processing, marketing of medicinal plants and wild plants.
2. Formation of a circle of main participants and beneficiaries of the project for the development of medicinal plant growing in the territory of the Stavropol Territory, the project coordination working group and agricultural schools for training industry specialists.
3. Presentation of the first in the region AGROSCHOOL, which allows specialists to obtain professional information on a wide range of issues, including those related to the technology of cultivation, collection and primary processing of vegetable raw materials.
