Developments of scientists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University are in demand in the big dairy business of Russia

A working meeting with a delegation of NPO Association of Holstein breed cattle producers, a member of the European Confederation of Holstein Producers (ECHP) was held in Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The business mood of the working meeting was set by the rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, doctor of economic sciences, professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, who in his greeting noted the relevance of innovative developments by scientists of our university and students in the big dairy business of Russia.

Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the NPO Association of Holstein Breed Cattle Producers, a presentation and practical demonstration of innovative developments on the implementation of the methodology of the International Registration Committee animals (ICAR) in pedigree dairy cattle breeding was held by Professor of the Department of Zootechnology, animal breeding, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences S.Oleinik.

The delegation of the Association was represented by experts from several regions of Russia: Moscow - Olesya Smirnova, executive director of the NPO Association of Holstein cattle producers; Samara region - Lavrov Sergey Alexandrovich - director of Samara Regional Veterinary Laboratory, Maria Petukhova - deputy development director of LLC "Olginsky OP Novokurovskoye 4", Almagul Altybaevna Zhivalbaeva, leading specialist of livestock and breeding department, Ministry of Agriculture and food; Udmurt Republic - Natalia Shavshukova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuffs, Svetlana Dzyuina, Chief Specialist, Expert, Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding, Ministry of Agriculture. Today, the Association includes more than 20 members from different regions of Russia: Lipetsk, Voronezh, Samara, Tambov, Yaroslavl, Moscow, Ryazan, Kaluga, Tver regions, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Chuvash Republic and others.

In the course of the working meeting, a trip to the agricultural enterprise "Kuban" of the Kochubeyevsky district took place, where specialists from the control-assistant service under the guidance of associate professor A.A. Pokotilo, together with specialists from the breeding farm, carried out the control milking of Ayrshire breed cows and sampling milk raw materials composition on the basis of the Laboratory of selection of quality control of milk.

Following the results of the joint work, the main directions for introducing innovative developments by scientists from the Stavropol State Agrarian University on the basis of agricultural enterprises of the Association of Holstein breed producers, including the education and training of control and assistance services, and prospects for joint research studies were outlined together with the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Professor V.Yu. Morozov.
