The Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization became a member of the annual WorldSkills Academy program

Under the program, advanced training will be organized that will allow students to improve their professional level in such professions as: “Specialist in additive technologies”, “Specialist in composite materials”, “Operation of agricultural equipment” included in the list of the top 50 promising professions.

As part of the training, students - teachers, masters of industrial training will improve their skills and abilities to work with the most modern and promising technologies, techniques and equipment of digital production at the site of the Specialized Competence Center WorldSkills Russia, Stavropol State Agrarian University, according to the competence "Prototyping". The material and technical base of the center will immerse the program participants into the atmosphere of advanced domestic and international practices in the process of prototyping.

Everything will begin with the practice of applying teaching methods in the field of three-dimensional modeling, creating accurate three-dimensional models of a product prototype according to technical documentation.

Additive technologies in their diversity are presented on the site of the center in the form of four technologies of three-dimensional printing. Teachers of the program - carriers of the best practices will lead students to increase their knowledge on the preparation of models for three-dimensional printing, on the choice of technologies of additive production, on setting up 3d printers to obtain the most high-quality and accurate details of the product prototype.

In the manufacture of prototypes, in addition to 3d printing, model processing on CNC machines is also used, so you should improve your skills in developing control programs for the machine and selecting the optimal processing paths with the selection of the appropriate tool. The training program is conducted by certified experts, a member of the national team of Abu Dhabi 2017, as well as the winners of the national and intercollegiate finals of the WorldSkills Russia competitions.

In the framework of the program, students in practice can touch the study of promising techniques and techniques for the manufacture of prototype parts using injection molding and molding technologies, as well as technologies for working with composite materials.

Methods of time management, post-processing of parts, assembly, prototype painting and control are extremely important aspects when training students, because the teacher is the bearer of these skills and abilities, therefore special attention is paid to raising the level of this skill in our program.

Methods for assessing the level of training of students is an extremely important function of the teacher and the program is aimed at students' mastering the technologies, techniques and methods of measuring and evaluating work - prototypes. Modern technologies of three-dimensional scanning and reverse engineering will allow to evaluate prototypes in terms of both dimensional and geometrical characteristics. It also provides students with an introduction to alternative technologies for evaluating and measuring complex prototype surfaces. For example, the manufacture of high-precision curved patterns on the laser engraving equipment.

The culmination of the training program is the practice of preparing and conducting a demonstration exam on the competence of “Prototyping”. Students will act both as students and as experts, precisely in order to improve their skills in preparing students for the demonstration exam, as well as to participate in competitions in WorldSkills standards.
