In Moscow, on the basis of SCANEX, a thematic training seminar was held for teachers of leading agricultural universities, on the basis of which a regional in-person competition on the use of space and web-based GIS technologies in digitization of agriculture will be held.
The main goal of the competition is to acquaint rural schoolchildren with high technologies, which are currently used in agriculture, and to involve them in work on solving the problems posed in the framework of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).
Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by Sergey Yuryevich Gorbachev, a lecturer at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Department of Land Management and Cadastre.
The seminar was devoted to the discussion of the methodology of the competition stages, the preparation of competitive questions, and the evaluation of the participants' work. Also, for representatives of partner universities SCANEX experts held consultations on working with the SCANEX Web Geomixer program and various geo-information services on using the geoportal. They analyzed in detail the performance of model competitive tasks and the methodology for working with schoolchildren who participated in the competition.
