A delegation from the Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in a meeting on the formation of integrated research plans. The events are held within the framework of the execution of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On measures to implement the state scientific and technical policy in the interests of agricultural development”.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Professor V.Yu.Morozov and Professor of the Department of Private Zootechny, Animal Breeding and Breeding S.A. Oleinik.
The meeting was held by the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation A.M. Medvedev.
The main issue was the formation of integrated research plans in the following areas:
- Improving the genetic potential of dairy cattle;
- Improving the genetic potential of cattle specialized meat breeds of domestic breeding;
- Improving the genetic potential of small cattle.
During the discussion of research directions on the genetic improvement of dairy cattle, Professor S.A. Oliynyk informed those present about the main provisions of the innovative system of management of highly productive genetic resources in dairy cattle breeding, developed by a creative group of scientists at Stavropol State Agrarian University.
The special significance of the development of our scientists for the production was also noted in the statement of the director of the center for breeding and primary seed production of the Ekoniva - seed company V.S. Voloshchenko.
The participation of scientists of our university in the fulfillment of the state order for carrying out planned research works is the most important guarantee for ensuring the modern level of the educational process, since it allows updating curricula and lecture practices of faculty members.
