Plenary session of the scientific-practical conference was held

At the faculties of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture, a plenary session of the scientific-practical conference «Modern resource-saving innovative technologies of growing crops in the North Caucasus Federal District» was held.

Alexander Nikolaevich Yesaulko, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, dean of the departments of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture, opened the meeting. He introduced the guests of the conference and noted that it is being held for the 84th time.

In 2019, the conference was dedicated to the 80th birthday of Vyacheslav Ivanovich Kharechkin, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Agrarian Education, Professor of the Department of General and Land Reclamation of our University, Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy.

A welcoming speech was made by Vitaly Morozov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor. He noted that scientists of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture conduct scientific research on topics that are in demand for the agrarian sector of the economy and can be proud of significant achievements in various fields of science. The results of scientific research are sure to become material for interesting articles that will be published in publications from the list of Higher Attestation Commission and indexed in the international ScopusbWebofScience databases.

Andrei Yurievich Oleinikov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, noted that an important tradition of the faculties was to invite representatives from various ministries, departments, organizations that represent the professional community, strategic partners, potential employers for graduates. Such communication enables scientists and students to keep abreast of the latest changes in various fields of activity. Stavropol Territory as an agrarian region is developing dynamically and needs highly qualified specialists who are trained by Stavropol State Agrarian University.

One of the training areas, graduates of which are in demand in their native Stavropol region, is Ecology and environmental management. The report «On the state of the environment and environmental management in the Stavropol Territory in 2018» was presented by Alexander Ryabikin, First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory. Alexander Vladimirovich not only provided reporting data, but also presented new effective areas of activity in the field of state environmental supervision and state environmental impact assessment. He spoke about environmental actions, active members of which are employees and students of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Associate Professor of General Agriculture, Plant Growing and Breeding them. Professor F.I. Bobrysheva, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Trubacheva Lyudmila Viktorovna in her speech presented the basic data on the life and scientific, creative and industrial way of Vyacheslav Ivanovich Kharechkin. The report of Lyudmila Viktorovna was permeated with respect and sincere gratitude to his teacher, who went from a rural accountant to the dean of the agronomical faculty, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor.

Vladimir Ivanovich Kozhevnikov, Director of the Stavropol Botanical Garden named after V.V.Skripchinsky - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «North Caucasus Federal Scientific Agrarian Center», made a presentation «Botanical Garden is a source of environmental knowledge». Kozhevnikov V.I. made a historical excursion into the years of creation of the botanical garden and showed the current state of the territory. At the end of his speech, Vladimir Ivanovich conducted a virtual tour of the botanical garden of the Stavropol city.

The head of the department of the State budget institution of the Stavropol Territory «StavKrayImushestvo» Danilov Kirill Sergeyevich in his speech will highlight «Some issues related to the use of agricultural land in modern legislation».

The greatest interest was aroused by the report of Aleksey Sergeevich Lysenko, deputy director of the state institution «Stavropolvinogradplodoprom». Aleksey Sergeevich presented the «Prospects for the development of horticulture and viticulture of the Stavropol Territory», statistical information on industry trends, presented the State Support Program for the Development of Horticulture and the establishment of superintensive orchards in personal subsidiary farms.

All reports aroused the lively interest of guests and participants of the conference. Many questions were asked.

The conference will be continued with presentations by students and graduate students, as well as faculty members who will present the results of their research. Based on the conference materials, it is planned to publish two collections of articles indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index.
