Meeting of the Council for the Development of the Region's Land Reclamation Complex

Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko, Doctor of Agricultural Science, Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture, took part in the meeting of the Council for the Development of the Land Reclamation Complex of the region, which was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

The meeting was opened by Vladimir N. Sitnikov, Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory. He noted that in the current year, under the two programs “Development of Land Reclamation” and “Development of Export of Agricultural Products” it is planned to put into operation 10.3 thousand hectares of irrigated land. To implement the objectives of the development of the land-reclamation complex of the region, in 2019 it was provided 375 million rubles, but this amount of funds is not enough.

In the framework of the program "Development of Land Reclamation" in the Stavropol Territory it is planned to build 5.1 thousand hectares. The total cost is 1.2 million rubles. At 4 sites, construction work is already underway, 6 are undergoing state expertise and purchasing equipment. At 5 sites, projects are under development, contracts have been concluded and payment has been made for the supply of reclamation equipment.

As part of the export program, it is planned to build land reclamation systems on an area of ​​5.2 thousand hectares of irrigated land. At the moment, the current amount of funding is 71 million rubles.

For reimbursement of expenses under this program in the amount of at least 50% from the federal budget in the regional budget, an additional 543 million rubles is required.

Oleynikov Andrey Yuryevich - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory reported that the amount of funds for 2020 is currently being formed. It depends on the number of declared hectares of irrigated area and costs. Therefore, before May 8, the regional Ministry of Agriculture must submit a package of documents: an application for inclusion in the Register of construction objects, a summary calculation, an investment project passport, terms of reference and a design agreement.
