Final Four VII Basketball Championship of the Stavropol Territory

The Final 4th VII Championship of the Stavropol Territory Basketball among men's team teams, cities and municipalities at the Governor's Cup of the Stavropol Territory was held in the gym of the Agrarian University. The competition was attended by 12 teams, which for 7 months spent in the games "Stavropol" and «Caucasian Spas» 60 games.

According to the results of the games held, the 4 strongest teams (two are the best of both zones) reached the Final 4. These are the teams: - “Wild boar” (Mikhailovsk); - “Heating network” (Stavropol); - Spartak (Essentuki); - “Impulse” (Pyatigorsk). They had to determine the champion of the Stavropol Territory among the men's teams of the 2018-2019 seasons.

The opening parade was held in a festive atmosphere with a large number of spectators. Athletes welcomed the guests of honor:

- Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev;

- Mikhail Vladimirovich Kuzmin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Russian Federation;

- Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory, Irina Vladimirovna Kuvaldina;

- Vladimir Evgenievich Yanushkin, Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Stavropol Territory;

- Igor Vasilievich Andryuschenko, Chairman of the Duma Committee of the Stavropol Territory on Industry, Energy, Construction and Housing and Communal Services;

- Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee of the Stavropol Territory Sergey Arnoldovich Shevelyov, holder of 3 orders of “Courage”;

- Deputy of the Duma of the Stavropol Territory, Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, Hero of Labor of the Stavropol Territory;

- Head of the Department for Ensuring the Activities of Magistrates Judges Yury Nikolaevich Svetashov;

- Chairman of the Stavropol City Council Georgy Semyonov Kolyagin;

- Sergey Vladimirovich Pechkurov, Chairman of the Duma of the municipal formation of the city of Mikhailovsk;

- Sergey Vladimirovich Anisimov, General Director of Stavropolsky Dairy Plant OJSC;

- Head of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sport of the Stavropol City Administration Alina Evgenievna Sereda.

Champions of the Stavropol Territory of 2019 took part in the opening parade of pupils of Secondary School No. 1 of Stavropol, a team of boys born in 2004 (coach Dmitry Borodinov), girls of teams born in 2004 and 2005 (coach Olga Golovina), teams of boys born in 2005 and 2006 (coach Galina Penkova). In a solemn atmosphere, young athletes were awarded “champion” cakes from the Stavropolsky Milk Factory.

For organizing and holding the VII Championship of the Stavropol Territory in basketball among men's teams, State Duma Deputy Mikhail Vladimirovich Kuzmin awarded with Letters of Gratitude General Director of the Stavropol Dairy Plant Sergey Vladimirovich Anisimov, correspondent of the newspaper Vecherny Stavropol Valery Pavlovich Manin and Executive Director of the Basketball Federation Stavropol Territory Yuri Nikolaevich Pavlov.

The opening parade ended with great performances by artists of the State Agrarian University, the Leader team of the Stavropol Krai cheerleading team (headed by Tatyana Zakharenko).

In the first game, the team “Teploset” (Stavropol) and the team “Spartak” (Essentuki) met. "Teplovik" triple champion of the Stavropol Territory and basketball experts considered them as favorites in this confrontation. “Spartak” only in the first half of the meeting was able to resist the “Heating Network”. In the second half, the teplovikas broke the resistance of Spartak players and won with a score of 84:52.

In the second game, the team "Impulse" (Pyatigorsk) and the team "Vepr" (Mikhailovsk) met. The team from Pyatigorsk for the first time got into the “Final 4”, and “boars” in the last Championship took the third place. From the first minutes of the meeting, "Vepr" announced its ambitions to win the VII Championship of the Stavropol Territory. The team played powerfully in the attack and selflessly in defense. The final score was 96:46 in favor of the boar.

On the second day of the competition, first in the match for the 3rd place, the teams “Impulse” (Pyatigorsk) and “Spartak” Yessentuki met. “Kavminvodskoe derby” ended with the victory of “Spartak” from Essentuki with a score of 83:68.

In the main match of the "Final 4" for the 1st place met "Heating Network" (Stavropol) and the team "Vepr" (Mikhailovsk). Both teams are staffed with good players. And I must say that basketball experts and fans were not disappointed with the final game. The teams showed class, skill and skill. Fans of both teams vehemently supported their own. The passions in the gym was beyond! The first quarter of the meeting was held in equal fight - 17:16 in favor of "Boar". In the second quarter, wean played collected, powerful and very confident. The game, as they say, "went" with almost all players.

The first half of the meeting for the team from Mikhailovsk 39:26. In the second half of the meeting there was an equal game and the “boars” managed to keep their advantage. To the great joy of the numerous fans of the Vepr team present at this game, the final siren recorded the victory of their team with a score of 84:72. The Vepr team (Mikhailovsk) for the first time became the Champion of the Stavropol Territory in basketball among men's teams.

Both gaming days passed in the same breath. During the breaks, presenter Sergey Nadein held a large number of competitions for fans. The winners of the competitions received gifts from the Basketball Federation of the Stavropol Territory. The winning team received a diploma of the I-st ​​degree, medals, certificates, a cup and the challenge cup of the governor of the Stavropol Territory. The winning teams were awarded diplomas, cups, medals and certificates, and the team that took the 4th place was awarded medals. The team of arbitrators also received prizes. These are judges: Andrei Andreev (Pyatigorsk), Artyom Lazutkin (Stavropol), Shebarshinov Daniil (Stavropol), chief secretary of the competitions Konstantin Logachyov (Stavropol), Dr. Anastasia Kozyrev, referees at the judges' table - Vasily Novikov, Dmitry Bondarev and Alexander Tetenishev.

The best players of the teams were:

- Igor Gutnev "Impulse" (Pyatigorsk);

- Denis Korobchenko “Spartak” (Essentuki);

- Evgeny Gapochka “Heating Network” (Stavropol);

- Alexander Samofalov ("Wild boar").

The MVP prize of the tournament was received by the player of the Teploset team (Stavropol) Roman Vorobiev. The special prize of the Basketball Federation of the Stavropol Territory "Mr. Basketball of the season 2018-2019 year" went to the player of the team Vepr (Mikhailovsk) Anton Perepelyukov.
