"Career Day" at the Accounting and Financial Faculty

The Career Day, organized by the staff of the Department of Financial Management and Banking, took place at the accounting and finance department of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. Representatives of leading commercial banks came to the meeting with young specialists.

The honorary guests of the Career Day were the manager of the Stavropol branch of PAO MTS-Bank Vitaly Valeryevich Lang, the head of the department for working with small and medium-sized businesses of the SRF AO “Rosselkhozbank” The Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District Yulia Viktorovna Potapova, analyst of the personnel selection and adaptation department of the Stavropol branch of PAO Sberbank of Russia Daria M. Babenko.

The dean of the accounting and financial faculty, doctor of economic sciences, professor Elena Ivanovna Kostyukova addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. She thanked representatives of banking organizations and employees who took an active part in the preparation and conduct of such an important event for students.

Speaking to students, Dr.E. Professor Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova noted the importance of holding such meetings and outlined a range of problems that graduates will have to deal with in finding employment, internships and internships. Addressing graduates, she emphasized that a specialist should have new competencies such as: Agile and methane skills of scrum-masters, teamwork, data management, to choose a specialty that will be in demand in the labor market.

Darya M. Babenko told the students about the open vacancies of Sberbank in the Stavropol Territory, voiced the requirements for candidates, the path of professional and career growth, informed about the possibility of practical training in PJSC "Sberbank of Russia".

Yulia Viktorovna Potapova, Chief Specialist of the Personnel Recruitment Unit of the Southern Federal District and North-Caucasian Federal District, told the students about the activities of the bank, talked about the possibility of passing the practice and further employment in various departments of the bank. Yulia Viktorovna, answered numerous questions from students about the requirements for vacant positions, about the level of wages, about the prospects for career growth.

From the conversation with the head of the department for work with clients of small and medium business of the SRF AO “Rosselkhozbank. Natalya Alexandrovna Shchedrina, the students learned that AO “Rosselkhozbank” is the largest universal bank in Russia, which provides financial services to both legal entities and individuals. The state owns 100% of the shares of this credit institution. The mission of the bank is development, support of the agrarian complex of Russia, therefore the priority activity of the bank is financing and servicing the agricultural sector of the economy. Rosselkhozbank credits farms, agricultural cooperatives, and others. Natalia Alexandrovna invited students of the accounting and finance faculty with the prospect of further employment as trainees. Students with professional interest took this appeal.

Lang Vitaly Valerievich, Managing Director of the Stavropol branch of MTS-Bank PJSC, spoke about the peculiarities of credit institutions in modern conditions, changes in the labor market, requirements for applicants for various positions in banks, career growth opportunities.

At the end of the event, students filled out feedback forms to identify their professional preferences.

At the end of the meeting, the staff of the business partners of the SSAU noted that graduates of the Agrarian University are sufficiently in demand and competitive due to the high level of theoretical training and practical skills acquired during internships and internships. Thus, on average, every 2nd employee of financial institutions and credit organizations is a graduate of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
