Stavropol State Agrarian University became a participant of the Ι All-Russian Congress of livestock specialists - breeders in the field of animal husbandry

Innovative approaches in the management of dairy herd, developed at Stavropol State Agrarian University under the leadership of the Rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, were met with interest at the All-Russian Congress of Animal Breeders in the field of livestock breeding, which was held on the basis of the RSAU-MAA named after K.A. Timiryazev, Moscow.

The most relevant areas of development were identified in the work of the plenary part and thematic platforms at the new All-Russian forum of specialists in the field of livestock breeding. The delegation of the Stavropol Territory was represented at the congress by the leaders and specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and breeding farms for breeding cattle and sheep.

The congress participants were greeted by:

· First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dzhambulat Khizirovich Hatuov,

· Chairman of the Council of the Federation Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management Alexey Petrovich Mayorov,

· Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues Vladimir Ivanovich Kashin.

Plenary reports were made by:

· Director of the Department of Livestock and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Amerkhanov Kharon Adievich,

· Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Donnik Irina Mikhailovna,

· Director of research institution, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dunin Ivan Mikhailovich,

· Director of the VIZH, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Zinoveva Natalia Anatolyevna.

The professor of the Department of Private Animal Science, Animal Breeding and Breeding, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Sergey Aleksandrovich Oleinik took part in the congress, who spoke at the training “Learning to work with foreign documentation with the report “Practical Experience of Using the Methodology of the International Animal Registration Committee (ICAR)”. The training was moderated by Irina Vladimirovna Kochan, Head of the Department of Livestock and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The participants of the congress discussed the significance of innovative methodology for the development of livestock breeding in the livestock with interest and lively participation.

Additional interest in innovative developments of scientists of our university in the field of dairy cattle breeding was also shown by Public company “Agroplom”, a resident of the SKOLKOVO innovation centre.
