The National Academic Choir of Teachers and Employees of the Stavropol State Agrarian University became the laureate of the I degree of the regional choir competition “Battle of the Choirs”

The competition was established by the Ministry of Culture of the Region and is based on the musical duel of choral groups from different cities and districts of the Stavropol Territory. The aim of the competition was the preservation, continuity and development of the national traditions of choral art, raising the performing level of groups, solving urgent problems of spiritual and moral education of young people, ensuring the continuity of the traditions of vocal and choral art of the Stavropol Territory.

The competition was held in two stages. In March 2019, regional qualifying rounds of the regional competition “Battle of the Choirs” took place “Victory is always with us”, dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, in which more than 80 creative teams took part.

According to the results of the regional tour, the National Academic Choir of Teachers and Employees of the Stavropol State Agrarian University entered the list of 14 finalists and on May 5 took part in the holding of the “Main Final” in the resort town of Zheleznovodsk. The team performed the song “Ballad of a Soldier”, music by V. Solovyov-Sedoy, the words of M. Matusovsky and won the diploma of the laureate of the I degree.
