Platforms began their work in the framework of the regional stage “AgroNTI-2019” on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, . The university has gathered at its base the best representatives of more than 100 schools of the Stavropol Territory.
At the opening ceremony, the honored guests addressed the contest participants:
- Evgeny Kozyura, Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Stavropol Territory
- Head of the Representative Office of the Foundation for the Promotion of the Development of Small Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere (Stavropol Territory), Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Lyudmila Mikhailovna Kuzyakova
- Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Association of Agrarian Education, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Economics, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev.
In 2019, the Foundation for Innovation Promotion, together with the non-profit organization Association of Educational Institutions of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Fisheries, with the support of the Department of Scientific-Technological Policy and Education, the Department of Digital Development and Management of State Information Resources of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation announced "AgroNTI - 2019" among students of 5-10 classes of rural educational institutions.
The purpose of the Competition is to involve students of educational institutions located in rural areas in the work on the technological priorities of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), through familiarization with high-tech projects in agriculture.
The main objectives of the Competition:
- development of students' creativity and interest in specialties in the field of agricultural sciences;
- formation of key competencies, professionally significant personal qualities and motivation for the practical application of subject knowledge;
- creation of favorable conditions for self-determination, creative self-realization of students;
- increasing the prestige of specialties in the field of agricultural sciences;
- professional orientation of students;
- dissemination and promotion of knowledge in the field of agricultural sciences;
- involvement of the scientific and business communities to work with talented students.
According to the results of the competition, Stavropol State Agrarian University has become a basic regional platform in the North Caucasus Federal District. Also, the competition is held by universities throughout Russia, among them:

Schoolchildren will have to master new technologies in the field of:
• Agrocopters (distributed systems of unmanned aerial vehicles, automatic control systems);• Agrobots (electronic automated control systems for agricultural machinery);
• Agrocosmos (the use of satellite imagery and web GIS technologies in the digitalization of agriculture);
• Agrometeo (weather forecasting, weather archive creation, analytics).
The correspondence regional stage in the North Caucasus Federal District was held throughout April, and more than 1,000 people took part in it. In the internal stage, took part more than 200 students. The competition is aimed at the realization of the creative potential of young people, and is designed for the informed choice of students when choosing their future profession. After the ceremonial part, the schoolchildren were given a tour of the new building of the Agrarian University, and then the teams began to work on directions.
