Ceremonies of summing up the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019

Stavropol, among other cities of Russia, met the Fire of the XXIX World Winter Universiade, which swept through 30 settlements of the country to light the main fire at the Opening Ceremony of the Universiade in Krasnoyarsk. This honor fell only to 16 subjects of the Russian Federation.

Among the torchbearers were outstanding athletes and coaches of Stavropol, who successfully represented the Stavropol Territory at the All-Russian and International competitions. In memory of this important historical event, the torches of the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019 were awarded to:

· First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory Ivan Ivanovich Kovalev,

· Honored Master of Sports, Olympic Champion of the XXVII Summer Olympic Games (2000), Deputy of the Duma of the Stavropol Territory, President of the Olympic Council of the Stavropol Territory - Igor Viktorovich Lavrov

· Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Stavropol Territory - Vladimir Evgenievich Yanushkin,

· To the head of the physical culture and sports committee of the administration of Stavropol city - Alina Evgenievna Sereda,

· Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Ivan Vyacheslavovich Atanov.

A worthy place in the awards for the achievements of the region will take a unique gold medal of the Universiade 2019.

Gifts of honor were received from the hands of the Deputy Director General of the autonomous non-profit organization Executive Directorate of the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019 in the city of Krasnoyarsk - Stella Yurievna Alekseeva.

The organizers noted the high level of the relay in the Stavropol Territory. Acknowledgments were presented by employees of state services: the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the fire department.

Guests were welcomed by the vocal ensemble "Anfas".

The torch of the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019 will be stored in the Museum of the Agrarian University.
