The Agricultural University summed up the marathon "Financial Genius"

In Stavropol State Agrarian University, the game "Money is not happiness". It was attended by students of ten educational institutions of secondary vocational education of the Stavropol Territory.

The game was held in the framework of the educational marathon "Financial Genius", which was implemented on the territory of the region from February to May 2019. Students of secondary vocational education passed the express exam, which was conducted by teachers of financial management and banking department, Ph.D., Professor Yu.M. Sklyarov and Ph.D., associate professor E.N. Lapina by means of a webinar.

The marathon suggested the possibility of mastering theoretical issues that improve financial literacy.

What is the payroll tax rate for individuals - tax residents of the Russian Federation? Do the rules of the deposit insurance system imply a limit on the amount of insurance payments? Where to file a complaint / claim to protect your rights as a consumer of financial services? These and other questions were answered by students of non-economic areas of training during the passage of the first - Qualifying stage of the marathon.

According to the results of the first round, the best were invited to participate in the second round - the board game “Money is not happiness”, which was held on May 28, 2019 in the Winter Garden of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The game allows you to learn in an entertaining way the subtleties of personal finance management, learn how to assess the risks associated with purchases and various financial services, as well as gain the skills to plan your budget.

The game helps to explain complex economic concepts, to interest the participants and give them the opportunity to practice in the management of personal budget. Choosing a job, changing professions, buying cars and apartments, loans, deposits and insurance are all possibilities that are open to players.

According to the results of the game:

· The first place was taken by the team of the secondary vocational education department of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

· Second - Svetlograd Pedagogical College.

· Third - Praskovei agro-technological college.

Diplomas, letters of thanks and gifts from the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory were presented to the winners by the regional coordinator of the regional program to improve the financial literacy of the population in the Stavropol Territory Nadezhda Ivanovna Gerasimenko and consultant of the Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory Irina Kuzminichna Babich.

The event was organized by the Institute of Continuing Professional Education and the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the University.
