Master class from Sberbank for students of accounting and financial faculty

Teachers of the Department of Financial Management and Banking, for students of the accounting and financial faculty, organized and conducted a master class from the strategic partner of the Stavropol State Agrarian University - Sberbank PJSC on the topic “New digital technologies in the banking system: informational and innovative”.

Within the framework of cooperation with the Stavropol Branch No. 5230, Sberbank PJSC for students of the accounting and finance faculty of the 4th course in Economics, Finance and Credit, Economic Security Olga Zapko, head of sales acquiring department, held a master class “New digital technologies in the banking system: informational and innovative”.

Olga Vasilievna told about digital technologies in the bank: this includes robotic lending processes and opening of a current account, personalized offers to customers, and the creation of market places. “The development of digital channels and products for us is the basis for building a positive customer experience and building the deepest possible relationships with our customers. Currently, Sberbank is positioning itself not only as a bank, but as an IT-service company”, noted Olga Vasilievna.

Special attention was paid to cybersecurity and financial fraud. Students were very useful to learn about the types of financial fraud; what ways do scammers use? how to avoid becoming a victim of financial fraud; about cyber fraud and how it happens; financial pyramids; and tips on what to do if you are already a victim of fraud.

“Everyone can become a victim of a criminal, and it doesn’t matter whether he uses a bank card or not. This is the risk we face every day. Fraud is developing more and more and finding more and more new ways to deceive us”.

Olga Vasilievna also highlighted the importance of using a mobile bank; noted that you should pay attention when using ATMs. Students attentively listened to the lecture, asked their questions. Most students worried about what else there are ways to protect against fraudsters and the new "tricks".
