The Governor met with veterans of the Great Patriotic War at the Agrarian University

About 160 thousand of “children of war” live in the Stavropol Territory. Governor Vladimir Vladimirovich Vladimirov met with activists of the Councils of veterans of the region.

The event was attended by the Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. The meeting was also attended by deputies of the regional Duma, heads of regional specialized ministries.

The head of the region thanked the activists of the veteran movement for the productive dialogue. As sounded at the meeting, the outcome of such communication was the very consolidation of the status of “children of war” by a regional law, which was developed on the initiative of Vladimir Vladimirov and adopted in December last year.

Stavropol State Agrarian University was not accidentally chosen as a meeting place. It is our University that has one of the most volunteering movements in the North Caucasus Federal District. Volunteers provide all possible assistance to veterans, children of war, home front workers.

As part of the patriotic education, the children of war take on the baton of honest and responsible words about the spirit of a terrible time in the history of our country. They should bring the lessons of courage and perseverance of modern youth.

A pleasant gift to the guests of the university was the creative performances of groups of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
