The Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a conference dispute "The trail of the myths and legends of ancient Greece." The event was attended by national teams of faculties of agrobiology and land resources, veterinary, accounting, financial and economic.
The interest to the problems of the mythology of Ancient Greece from the part of the younger generation was emphasized in his welcoming speech by the head of the Department of Philosophy and History S.P. Zolotarev, noting that the religion and mythology of ancient Greece had a tremendous impact on the development of culture and art of the whole world, marked the beginning of countless religious ideas about man, heroes and gods. The contribution of Greek mythology to modern culture can not be overestimated.
At the conference-dispute, questions were raised on various appeals to mythological subjects and images, their transformation in foreign and domestic philosophy, culture, literature, and also in art. Of particular interest among students was the problem of the relationship between legend and myth in ancient Greece.
The organizer of the conference was the team of the department of philosophy and history of the university. The team leaders in preparation for the event were: S.P. Zolotarev, I.I. Gulyak, V.I. Kurchev, N.G. Guzynin.
