The cycle of events "All about the pension"

In May 2019, an “All about Future Pension” series of events was held for Accounting and financial students as part of raising pension literacy, organized by the lecturers of the Finance, Credit and Insurance Department, together with the Department of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in the Stavropol Territory and training workshop.

The purpose of these events is to increase the pension and social literacy of Russian youth, as well as to inform young people about the possibilities of creating a decent level of future retirement, the formation of a new pension culture and pension.

The head of the press service of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in the Stavropol Territory Dina Sergeyevna Prokopova met with students at the Agrarian University.

During the meeting, issues related to changes in pensions and social benefits were highlighted. An explanation was given on the new procedure for determining the social supplement to a pension, in connection with the entry into force of the Federal Law of 01.04.2019 No. 49-FL, as well as on monthly payments, to persons caring for disabled children, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 79 dated 03/07/2019. In addition, since 01.01.2019, the norm enshrined in paragraph 14 of Article 17 of the Federal Law dated December 28, 2019 No. 400-FL, according to which, people who have worked at least 30 calendar years in agriculture, not performing work and living in rural areas produced increasing the fixed payment to the old-age and disability insurance pension.

In terms of social benefits, information was provided about changes made to the maternal (family) capital program in order to more effectively spend money on home improvement. As part of these amendments, the Pension Fund and its territorial branches are now requesting information on the state of the dwelling and in local government.

Separately, the question of the advance provision of information on persons applying for the appointment of an old-age pension is highlighted.

Students with great interest listened to the lecture, actively asked questions to representatives of the Pension Fund. At the end of the event, everyone received memorable booklets.

The PFR for the Stavropol Territory received within its walls students of the accounting and financial faculty. Especially for them, a training seminar on the pension system and the work of the Fund, as well as the thematic business game “Everything about Pension” was prepared.

The meeting began with a welcoming speech from the head of the Pension Fund of Russia Department for the Stavropol Territory, Elena Vasilyevna Dolgova, in which Elena Vasilyevna wished the children success and invited them to participate in a series of games and competitions held by the pension fund.

During the game, the students, together with the employees of the Pension Fund, had a little dream: they chose the size of their average salary, the experience, the number of children, and then, using the pension calculator, they calculated approximately their future pension. They consolidated their knowledge in a quiz, answering first the questions “true or false”, and then moved from theory to practice: students were presented situations from life, they in turn should have told you how the Pension Fund employee would act in this situation. Then the task became more complicated - it was necessary to explain with the help of the game “crocodile”: who asked for help, with what question, and then the teams gave answers to the questions asked. The guys were able to show creativity with the help of the following competition: their task was to create a unique banner. Each team completed the task in its own style: someone reflected the whole life course of a person and how he was associated with the Pension Fund, someone resorted to bright and talking advertising, and someone made a stylish and concise slogan. Then students fought in the board game and in the game “100 to 1”. At each stage of the game the winner was determined. At the end of the event prizes were distributed as follows:

1st place was taken by Antyufeeva Victoria, Efendiyev Inal, Mihonenko Victor, Poltorak Oleg, Chernov Alexey;

2nd place: Darmatova Dolmatova, Anastasia Gladyreva, Valeria Volkoderova, Julia Miroshnichenko;

3rd place: Gadzhimuradova Kizkhalum, Yakovenko Alexander, Skrivochka Liana, Samokish Anastasia, Loshakov Andrey.

The PFR told students about the key issues that should be paid attention to when forming a pension, as well as the services of the Foundation and convenient ways to receive them. The issues of employment in the FIU, students' internships under the guidance of specialists of the department did not stand aside.

As a result of the events, the students received basic knowledge about the formation of a future pension, got acquainted with the basic rules for the formation of pension rights and pension calculation, found out what services the Pension Fund can now receive in electronic form, both through the Personal Account on the website of the Pension Fund of Russia, and portal of public services, as well as through a special mobile application of the FIU.
