The open Olympia 6 European Powerlifting Championship was held in Sochi, which was attended by 627 athletes from Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Iran, Israel, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Chechen Republic, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Ossetia.
Students and teachers of the Stavropol State Agrarian University successfully participated in the competition.
Danil Pavlyuchenko, a first-year student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, participated in the junior and junior Russian national team for the first time at a similar level of competition; the athlete, having exceeded his personal result by 30 kg, became the winner in the 82.5 kg category among young men.
In the junior category, the victory was won by the students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources George Kolesnichenkoveskovaya category 75 kg and Ivan Masalov weight category 82.5 kg; students of accounting and financial faculty Alexander Tishkov weight category 99 kg and Stanislav Repko weight category 100 kg.
In the category of 110 kg a student of the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering - Artem Taranov occupied the podium; in the category of 48 kg - an EEF student Angelina Zys.
The silver of honor was won by a student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources Vitaly Nikulin.
Coach, teacher of Stavropol State Agrarian University Nina Vyacheslavovna Mukhortova became the absolute champion in the category 67, 5 kg.
