Participation of the University staff in the II International scientific and practical conference "Problems of introduction and rational use of plant resources»

The delegation of Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the plenary session of the II International scientific-practical conference "Problems of introduction and rational use of plant resources", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Stavropol Botanical Garden and the 110^th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Skripchenko – the founder of the Botanical Garden, headed by the dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor of the RAS - A. N. Osaulko

Welcoming speech was made by the organizers of the conference: director of the Stavropol Botanical Garden, candidate of agricultural sciences Vladimir Kozhevnikov, director of the North Caucasus Federal TAX Service, doctor of agricultural sciences Valery Kulintsev and chairman of the Stavropol city organization of the Union of agricultural workers Nikolai Naumenko.

In his welcoming speech, the dean of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture, professor Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko conveyed the words of congratulations from the rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, academician Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev and stressed that for many years the Stavropol Botanical Garden is one of the main partners of the Agrarian University in the field of garden and landscape construction, where our students receive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of dendrology and ornamental plant growing.

The conference was attended by representatives of the scientific community of Stavropol and Stavropol territory, Moscow, Voronezh, Perm, Ulan-Ude and other parts of the country. The jubilee conference was attended by the staff of relevant departments of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources; ecology and landscape architecture, associate Gudiev O. Yu., Maznitsina L. V., Mukhin, O. V., Stukalo V. A., A. A. Belovolova and assistant A. O. Kasatkina

In the program of the conference the participants got acquainted with the structure of the Botanical Garden, collections of ornamental and medicinal plants; discussed the introduction and acclimatization of plants, protection of flora, selection of ornamental plants, the use of introducents in economic activities, landscape design and environmental education.
