At the Stavropol State Agrarian University, students of the retraining program "Attaches on Agriculture" of the MSIIRO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia continue their training. One of the classes was held in the “Russia” breeding farm of the Novoaleksandrovsky District of the Stavropol Territory.Future agricultural attaches visited dairy farm number 2 of one of the leading agricultural enterprises in the region. The chief zootechnician of the farm, Klavdia Yurchenko, and Sergey Oleinik, a professor at the Stavropol State Agrarian University, told the audience about the breeding and feeding of highly productive animals (black and white Holstein breeds), about organizing the directional rearing of young stock and reproduction of the herd, about the conditions for obtaining high-quality raw milk.The chief agronomist of the farm A. Kiselev, Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Professor of RAS Alexander N. Esaulko presented the main elements of the farming system (fertilizers, plant protection, tillage, plant breeding and seed production), innovative technologies for the cultivation of agricultural crops.The extra-mural seminar ended with a meeting with the head of the breeding farm, Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Pyanov. He presented the audience with information on the main economic results of the agricultural enterprise, problems and prospects for the development of agriculture, answered questions.
