The All-Russian Research Institute of Oilseeds (VNIIMK) in the city of Krasnodar hosted the annual festival Field Day VNIIMK 2019, with a demonstration of the latest breeding achievements of the most popular oilseeds of sunflower and soybeans.
Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by:
Director of the experimental station, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Alexander Vladimirovich Voskoboinikov,
Chief agronomist of the experimental station, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Alexey Gennadyevich Matveev,
Associate Professor of the Department of General Agriculture, Plant and Breeding named after F.I. Bobryshev Elena Borisovna Dryopa
as well as students of the agronomical faculty of the direction "Agronomy".
Welcoming remarks at the opening were made by:
Fedor Ivanovich Dereka, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Krasnodar Territory,
Acting Director of the FSBI FNTS VNIIMK Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Lukomets.
After the plenary session, the festival participants visited the demonstration crops of high-yielding soybean varieties: Vilana, Slavia, Chara, Olympia, Selena, Puma and sunflower: VNIIMK 100, Image, Oxy, Belochka, SEC, Djinn, Fakel, Gorstar, Revenge and received advice from outstanding specialists and experts.
The festival’s partner was the world's largest chemical concern BASF. The event was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Krasnodar Region, representatives of the Rosselkhoz Center, regional administrations, specialists from agricultural departments, chief agronomists and seed agronomists, and heads of peasant farms.
