Knowledge Day in the best Agrarian University of the country

The traditional holiday of knowledge gathered all the first-year students of Stavropol State Agrarian University on a granite square. More than 2.5 thousand students have become part of a large and friendly family of the Agrarian University.

Freshmen were welcomed by guests of honor:

Under the solemn march, the Banner of Stavropol State Agrarian University of Order of the Red Banner of Labor was brought to the granite square. The right to bring the banner was granted to a high achiever, a personal scholarship holder of the Government of the Russian Federation, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Technological Management Alexander Gridasov.

Representatives of the freshmen of all faculties were invited to the stage to transmit the “Fire of Knowledge”. From the hands of a high achiever, a personal scholarship holder of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, a 5th year student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Viktor Samoilenko, the freshmen lit the symbolic “Fire of Knowledge”.

2500 thousand students solemnly pronounced the words of the oath.

Traditionally, flowers were laid to the Stele of memory in honor of the heroes who presented us Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and most importantly, a peaceful, bright sky above our heads.

On the square, a student team “Agrariy” marched in solemn formation. For 19 years, the Agrariy team has been the best in Stavropol Territory. "Agrariy" consists of 12 student groups and 5 volunteer groups with honor performing the tasks assigned to it.

Then the guests of the Knowledge Day were able to evaluate the technical equipment of the university, equipment paraded across the square. The power and scope were demonstrated by the students of the equestrian school. And the athletes showed medals they deserved at competitions at the city, regional, federal and international levels.

Freshmen were welcomed by: “Miss University-2019”, “Vice-Miss student of Stavropol Territory-2019” student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty Yana Nazarenko, “Mr. University -2019”, “1 vice-Mr. student of Stavropol Territory-2019” student of the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering Kirill Boyko, “Miss University-2018”, “Miss Student of Stavropol Territory-2018”, “Miss –Russia-Stavropol”, “First Vice Queen of the Students of the BRICS and SCO -2019”, student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty Ksenia Nazarova.

Newly-fledged freshmen, of course, have someone to level off. Among the students' achievements, a significant victory was the brilliant performance of the 3rd year student of the Faculty of Farm Mechanization, Eduard Samoilov, at the WorldSkills KAZAN 2019 world professional competency championship, which became the World Champion in the Rapid Prototyping nomination.

The victory of a student of the Agrarian University was made possible thanks to the training on the basis of the 3D prototyping center of Stavropol State Autonomous Institution “VECTOR”.

In a festive atmosphere, the orders were announced by the Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor V.I. Trukhachev.

“For the victory in the world championship“ WorldSkills KAZAN - 2019 ”in the“ Rapid Prototyping” competency, to pay a bonus of 25 academic scholarships to Eduard Romanovich SAMOILOV, 3rd year student of the 5th group of the Faculty of Farm Mechanization. The order was signed by the Rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor V.I. Trukhachev"

for outstanding success in the study, research and public life of the university, to transfer to study at the expense of the federal budget from September 2, 2019, 2nd year student of the 2nd group of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Valeriya CHERKASHINA and appoint a state academic scholarship from September 1, 2019, 2nd year student of the 2nd group of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources ZAKOTA Amina Nikolaevna, appoint a state academic scholarship from September 1, 2019.

The guests of the holiday gave a grand start to the countdown to the 90th anniversary of the university. An exciting student life, a lot of events and highlights are waiting for the freshmen. They made the right choice - they entered the Agrarian University!
