Scientists of Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the II Congress of sheep farmers of Kazakhstan

Scientists presented the results of the grant of the federal target program on the topic: “Development and implementation of an innovative methodology for the application of aerospace digital technologies for the accelerated development of grazing in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)” at the II Congress of Sheep Breeders of Kazakhstan

In the Alma-Ata region village Mynbaevo on the basis of the "Research Institute of Sheep Breeding named after K.U. Medeubekova ”branch of the Kazakh Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Feed Production LLP, a significant event was held for Kazakhstan and the entire Eurasian Economic Union event - II Congress of sheep farmers of Kazakhstan. The I Congress was held 6 years ago in 2013, during which time there arose plenty of problems and questions.

Scientists of Stavropol State Agrarian University took an active part in the work of the Congress

Oleinik Sergey Aleksandrovich - Professor of the Department of Private Zootechnics, Selection and Breeding of Animals, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences,

Sklyarov Sergey Pavlovich - Head of the R&D and Technology Transfer Department, Associate Professor of the Department of Parasitology and Veterinary Sanitary Examination, Anatomy and Pathanatomy named after professor S.N. Nikolsky.

Within the framework of the event, the Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Trends in the Development of Sheep Breeding" was held, at which the project manager, Professor S. Oleinik, presented the results of the implementation of the grant of the federal target program on the topic: “Development and implementation of an innovative methodology for the application of aerospace digital technologies for the accelerated development of grazing in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)” implemented with financial support from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science (electronic budget agreement number 075-02-208-920, internal number of the agreement No. 14.613.21.0081 with the Russian Ministry of Education and Science dated November 22, 2017, unique identifier of the work: RFMEFI61317X0081). Conference participants noted the high level and importance of the work performed for the development of sheep breeding in Kazakhstan.

Islamov Esenbay Israilovich, Managing Director of Science and Education of the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Center NAO, Kazakhstan, who moderated the conference, noted that this spring he visited Stavropol State Agrarian University as part of the delegation and was delighted with the high level of material and technical base of the university and professors teaching staff, warmly welcomed the rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation with Stavropol State Agrarian University.

An exhibition of promising sheep breeds, breeding and technological achievements of scientists of Kazakhstan, the opening ceremony of the bust to academician K.U. Medeubekov, visits to the laboratories of the research institute and working meetings with the team were held as part of the II Congress of Sheep Breeders of Kazakhstan. Our scientists took an active part in these events, presented our experience and best practices, and discussed the prospects for joint work. Director of the branch “Scientific Research Institute of Sheep Breeding named after K.U. Medeubekova ”Musabaev Bakitzhan Ibraimovich and General Director Tlevlesov Nurlan Yanvarbekovich of LLP“ Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Feed Production ”expressed interest in developing further joint work and research.
