The delegation of the Agrarian University at the interregional conference on financial literacy

In the resort city of Zheleznovodsk, an inter-regional conference "Regional practices to improve the financial literacy of the population as an element of the implementation of the National Strategy" was held, organized as part of the project of the Ministry of Finance of Russia "Promoting Improving Financial Literacy and Developing Financial Education in the Russian Federation".

The conference was attended by:

- Kalinchenko Larisa Anatolyevna, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory - Minister of Finance of the Stavropol Territory;

- Evgeny Ivanovich Moiseev, the head of the resort town of Zheleznovodsk;

- Tlisov Azamat Borisovich, Director of the North Caucasus Institute - a branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Financial Law, Candidate of Economic Sciences, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation;

- Anna Vladimirovna Zelentsova, Advisor to the Director of the Project of the Ministry of Finance of Russia “Promoting Improving Financial Literacy of the Population and Developing Financial Education in the Russian Federation”, Member of the Supervisory Board of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on Financial Education; experts on economic security of leading banks in the Stavropol Territory; representatives of the educational community and the interregional center of financial literacy of the North-Caucasian Federal District.

On the first day, the key topics of the conference were a discussion of implementation tasks and subtotals; a strategy to increase financial literacy in the Russian Federation; issues related to the problems of financial literacy of the population of the regions of the North Caucasus and ways to counter modern fraudulent schemes; new educational methods for teaching schoolchildren financial literacy; issues of increasing digital financial literacy of youth.

In addition, Larisa Anatolyevna Kalinchenko, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Stavropol, announced the holding of the regional “Savings Week” - its launch is scheduled for early October.

On the second day of the conference, round tables “Issues of improving the financial literacy of citizens of retirement and pre-retirement age” and “Development of the movement of financial volunteers. The main obstacles to their activities. Cooperation with interested organizations”, moderated by associate professors of the Department of Financial Management and Banking of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Latysheva Lyudmila Anatolyevna and Lapina Elena Nikolaevna.
