All-Russian Science Festival Nauka 0+ at Stavropol State Agrarian University

Science festivals have been held throughout Russia since 2006, and are designed for a wide audience of children and schoolchildren. The initiator of such events in Russia was Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. Stavropol State Agrarian University has become the venue for the NAUKA 0+ Festival.

Stavropol State Agrarian University became a participant in the All-Russian Science Festival NAUKA 0+.

Within the framework of the Festival, 1320 schoolchildren from Stavropol, Essentuki, Zheleznovodsk, Kislovodsk, Lermontov, Nevinnomyssk, Pyatigorsk and 26 districts of Stavropol Territory visited the country's best agricultural university. Schoolchildren got acquainted with different areas of scientific activity and innovative developments of young scientists.

The faculty of each faculty spoke about the role of science in the modern world, about the need to introduce modern scientific knowledge, revealed the relationship of the periodic table of chemical elements Mendeleev with agricultural sciences: agricultural chemistry, veterinary medicine, mechanization, electrification.

The NAUKA 0+ festival made it possible for students to understand in an understandable and accessible language what scientists are doing, how scientific research improves the quality of life, and what prospects it opens for modern people. This helps to attract more young people to scientific activities, increase the interest and prestige of the profession of a scientist-researcher in Russia.

In 2019, the NAUKA 0+ All-Russian Festival was held in 80 regions of the country at 300 venues, and was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements by famous Russian scientists D.I. Mendeleev

The Science Festival is held in various formats:

- popular science lectures by Nobel laureates;

- interactive exhibitions;

- excursions to research laboratories;

- exciting contests for children;

- science shows;

- competitions of robots;

- astronomical observations;

- TV conference and much more.
