For the third time, Russia launched the International Week of Investors, which will simultaneously take place in more than 90 countries of the world. This is a global campaign run by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). The goal is to inform citizens about investment opportunities in the financial market and about the activities of the regulator as a body protecting the rights of investors and consumers of financial services.
During the International Investors Week, students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, teachers of the department "Finance, Credit and Insurance" organized a problematic lecture on the basics of investing.
Gladilin Alexander Alexandrovich and Koshelev Vitaliy Viktorovich told the students about the main types of investments, how not to confuse legal market participants with scammers, and if necessary, protect their rights. Students were reminded of three rules of a competent investor: do not invest all the money in one financial product; remember that good returns take time; constantly monitor invested funds.
The topic of the lecture found a lively response among future economists - many of them are already thinking about creating their own business and ways to increase their savings in the future. Students asked questions about forming an investment portfolio, choosing a brokerage company and protecting their rights. Event participants also discussed how not to give their money to scammers and not invest in a financial pyramid.
