A sample of a laboratory unit for processing grain, feed, seeds in a pulsed electric field was made at the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering

As part of the implementation of the terms of requirements specification for the state contract of the electric power engineering faculty with the Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory, a pilot model of a laboratory unit for processing grain, feed, and seeds in a pulsed electric field was manufactured.

In 2019, there was made a pilot sample of a laboratory unit for processing grain before storing compound feeds and seeds before sowing by a pulsed electric field to suppress pathogenic microflora and increase the sowing quality of seeds.

Elektroavtomatika JSC (the city of Stavropol) has the intention to start mass production of industrial units after completing it and obtaining positive results during the testing of the unit.

Attempts to meet the growing needs of the population for food products led to the intensification of crop production using chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides, growth stimulants, etc.), which leads to soil degradation and the destruction of the environment, pollution of surface and underground waters and the resulting products. In many countries of the world, searches are being made for alternative methods of inactivating pathogenic mycoflora, fungi and bacteria, increasing the sowing quality of seeds to obtain clean products in organic farming, and in recent years there has been an increased interest in using physical factors, in particular a pulsed electric field.
