First place at the European Championships has been won by a student of the Agrarian University

The Open European Grappling Championship was held in Moscow. The competition was attended by over 25 teams from the CIS countries and Europe.

The student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources Magomed Bagavdinov took part at the competition. The fighter won four difficult fights, and won 1st place. The athlete continues to prepare for the World Cup, trains on the basis of the sports complex SSAU.

Grappling is a relatively new kind of martial art, which contains different types of wrestling techniques, as well as limited rules for pain and asphyxiation techniques. This sport was created on the basis of the most effective techniques of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, freestyle wrestling, combat sambo and judo.
