Implementation of the federal project “Ticket to the Future” at the Stavropol State Agrarian University

A federal project on early career guidance "Ticket to the Future" was launched across the country, in which schoolchildren from all regions of Russia will participate. The project consisted of three stages: online diagnostics, an intramural phase, and a final stage.

The project is being implemented as part of the Education national project. A total of 784.5 billion rubles were allocated to it. The aim of the project is to ensure global competitiveness of Russian education and Russia's entry into the top ten leading countries in the quality of general education.

From October 10 to October 25, 1310 students visited the faculties of agrobiology and land resources, veterinary medicine, social and cultural services and tourism, agricultural mechanization, and the electric power faculties. These were guys from the cities of Stavropol, Nevinnomyssk, Svetlograd, Apanasenkovsky, Krasnogvardeisky, Trunovsky municipal districts.

Pupils of the Stavropol Territory got acquainted with the peculiarities of the activities of an agronomist, veterinarian, electrician, specialists in the hospitality industry, prototyping, and the creation of composite materials. The professors and employees of the Stavropol State Agrarian University presented these professions to adolescents.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources for Educational Work, Associate Professor E.B. Drepa told them about the peculiarities of agronomy. Associate Professor of the Department of Epizootology and Microbiology E.V. Svetlakova revealed the intricacies of the activities of a veterinarian. The difficulties and joys of working in a modern hotel were shared by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism for Scientific Work, the Head of the Department of Tourism and Service, Associate Professor A. Oriole and associate professor of the same department Yu.M. Elfimova.

With adolescents prone to modern technical creativity met the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization, Associate Professor E.V. Kulaev, employees of "Vector". He and his colleagues spoke about the features of the modern Hi-Tech competencies “Prototyping” and “Composites Technology”.

The “classical” engineering professions of the university were introduced to schoolchildren by G. G. Shmatko, Associate Professor, Department of Processes and Machines in Agribusiness, and A.V. Efanov, the Head of the Department of Power Supply and Operation of Electrical Equipment. Gennady Gennadievich spoke about the features of the operation of agricultural machines and Alexey Valerievich – about the specifics of electrical installation.

On November 11, 2019, the second phase of the “Ticket to the Future” project begins at the Stavropol State Agrarian University. His events will be held in the format of the choice involved. Schoolchildren who have shown interest in the professions presented will have to “try them on themselves” in performing not complicated, but real operations that are performed by a specialist in a particular field of activity.

The federal project "Ticket to the Future" is being implemented by the Stavropol State Agrarian University as part of a joint venture with the long-term partner Young Professionals and Workers Development Agency (Worldskills, Russia). All activities for early vocational guidance of students are planned to be completed at the university by December 15, 2019.
