The successful start of the VI All-Russian Savings Week is marked by the victory of students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty

The city quest “Financial Navigator” was held in the regional capital, timed to the opening of the VI All-Russian Savings Week and aimed at developing practical knowledge about the financial infrastructure of the city, the functionality of various organizations in the field of personal finance, the ability to use their services in typical everyday situations and make decisions independently in the field of finance, taking into account the totality of conditions and circumstances.

The competition was attended by 20 teams, uniting 200 students from universities of the city of Stavropol: Stavropol State Agrarian University, Stavropol Institute of Cooperation, Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law, Branch of the Russian Technological University, North Caucasus Social Institute and NCFU.

City-quest “Financial Navigator” is a team game on route sheets, where tasks are presented in graphic form in the form of a comic strip. The main character of the comic book is a consultant on financial well-being. During the development of the plot, clients turn to him and ask for help to solve every day financial issues.

There are three clients in the comics: a senior citizen, a student, and a foreign citizen. Each of them asks for help in solving a typical problem for him. Pensioners seek to reduce their expenses on products and are looking for free leisure time, a student needs to find an opportunity to pay for their studies at a university, a foreign citizen is interested in a legal job and a profitable currency exchange.

To solve these cases, teams of participants of 10 people collect the necessary information in the relevant institutions of the city and on the Internet (on the official websites of financial institutions and government institutions) and formulate conclusions and advice.

However, the sites have only general information, and to get answers to specific questions you should contact the institution itself. In organizations, participants received information from game hosts or directly from employees.

During the quest, the children needed to solve practical problems on the competent planning of their personal and family budgets, as well as quickly collect information about specific banks, shops, territorial social service centers and multifunctional centers. At each stage, the players analyzed the information received and made decisions in the situations he proposed.

As a result of a stubborn struggle that gave the largest number of correct answers in the shortest possible time, the winner of the quest was the team of the accounting and financial department of the Agrarian University “Accountants” under the leadership of the assistant professor of financial management and banking, Elena Nikolaevna Lapina.
