On the Day of the Economist, an intellectual game among students took place

The goal of the game is to consolidate the theoretical knowledge and skills gained during the study of the discipline "Organizational Economics" and to introduce students to the history of the professional holiday - the Day of the Economist.

The organizers of the intellectual game among second-year students in the “Economics” training area of the “Economics of Enterprises and Organizations” and “World Economy” profiles were associate professors of the Department of Economic Theory and Economics of the Agro-Industrial Complex Julia Viktorovna Rybasova and Olga Aleksandrovna Cherednichenko.

In a welcoming speech to the participants, the head of the Department of Economic Theory, Doctor of Economics, Professor Kusakina Olga Nikolaevna congratulated all those present on their professional holiday and referred to the origins of creating the Free Economic Society, of which she has been a member for many years. In her address, Olga Nikolaevna once again confirmed the importance and significance of the economist profession in the activities of organizations and the country's economy as a whole. Olga Nikolaevna noted that only competent specialists who have universal economic knowledge and skills, have strategic thinking, are able to conduct a qualitative analysis and make a forecast for the future are in demand today. She wished students high academic achievements, and, of course, to become professionals in their field.

In her opening remarks, Yulia Viktorovna told students that the Imperial Free Economic Society (FES), which received the approval and patronage of Empress Catherine II, was founded on November 11, 1765. This organization primarily sought to educate and develop the principles of economic development of the state. Practical actions were also taken towards achieving the goal - the development and growth of the Russian economy. No wonder the emblem with the image of bees flying in a beehive and carrying honey became the symbol of the Society, and the word "Useful" was the motto.

During the game, students were offered tests of various contents and difficulty levels, which they coped with "excellent", showing knowledge and ingenuity, as well as the ability to work in a team. Separate assignments were offered to the fans of the teams, which allowed all students to take an active part in the game.

According to the results of the competition, the team “Second always first” was recognized as the winner, the “Monopolists” team took the second place of honor and the “Economic Miracle” team took the third place.

All teams and active participants were awarded with diplomas and souvenirs.

The game form of conducting classes has once again proved its feasibility and effectiveness in the educational process: the competencies acquired during the game best contribute to the professional training of specialists in economic fields.
