School of “Young Voter” began its work at the university

The “Young Voter” school was opened in Stavropol State Agrarian University as part of the implementation of the program for students under the additional general educational program “Volunteer Movement in the Electoral Process in the Russian Federation”. This resource will introduce students to their rights and responsibilities as prospective voters. After all, it is intended for students who are interested in socio-political activities.

When mastering the program, future young voters will get acquainted with the process of preparing, conducting elections and referenda in the Russian Federation, the system of activities of election commissions, holding elections and referenda, and will also study the features of the legal status of participants in the election process. Of particular interest to students is the volunteer movement in the electoral process. Each of the school participants will learn the functions of volunteers and the procedure for creating a club of young voters.

“Voter School” is an opportunity to present young people a complete and reliable picture of the electoral process, to orient young people during their participation and decision-making in political elections, as well as good practice to make the young generation active in the country's political life.

The initiator of the functioning of the school "Young Voter" is the staff of the Department of Philosophy and History. Students of the faculties of secondary vocational education, ecology and landscape architecture, agricultural mechanization, as well as economic, accounting and financial faculties became listeners of this program.
