The Olympiad took place in the form of computer testing, its participants were students of 1-4 years of study. The competition is held in order to increase students' interest in the profession and support young scientists.
The fund named after V.I. Vernadsky together with Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol LLC on the basis of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture held the III computer competition Ecoerudite.
In the opening of Ecoerudite took part:
· Deputy Executive Director of V.I. Vernadsky Foundation Cheshev Andrey Anatolyevich,
· Head of the educational and enlightenment projects and programs of V.I. Vernadsky Foundation Alla Markovna Volynskaya,
· Head of the Environmental Protection Department of Gazprom Transgaz Stavropol, Sergey Nazarenko,
· Environmental engineer of Gazprom transgaz Stavropol LLC Klyushnikov Yuri Sergeevich.
The Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Esaulko Alexander Nikolaevich addressed the participants of the Olympiad with a welcoming speech.
Deputy Executive Director of V.I. Vernadsky Foundation Cheshev Andrey Anatolyevich presented a traveling exhibition dedicated to the 155th anniversary of V.I. Vernadsky to the Head of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Stukalo.
As a result of the Olympiad, the 2nd year student Serdyukov Kirill scored the maximum number of points. II place was taken by 4-year students Marina Nakhusheva, Eminova Susanna. III place – 2nd year students Yegorova Ekaterina, 3rd year student Lazarishin Maksim, 4 year student Gorbatenko Lyubov. The winners were awarded diplomas with valuable gifts from V.I. Vernadsky Foundation and will be able to claim support in the framework of the scholarship program of the Fund. The remaining contestants received diplomas of participants.
