Final approbation of a new chicken cross in the vivarium of the Technology management faculty

According to the working program of research on the topic "Testing of domestic improved cross meat chickens “Change 8” (heads of the program – Rector of the Stavropol GAU, academician Trukhachev V. I., Director of the Federal research center “VNITIP” RAS Efimov D. N., responsible executors - Professor Epimakhova E. E., Director of LLC “Agrocormservice plus” Vrana A.V.), egg incubation and broiler farming in vivarium ended with slaughter, primary processing and anatomical butchering of the chicken carcasses.

All technological operations were carried out according to the technical regulations in the form of practice-oriented classes "working in groups" with students, under the guidance of Professor Epimakhova E. E., associate professors Meshcheryakov V. A., Svetlakova E. V., Ponomareva M. E., with the participation of graduate students Barsukova M. G., Kolesnikova M. S. and Gorbacheva A. A.

The assessment of digestibility of poultry feed nutrients, as well as the chemical composition of the pectoral and femoral muscles was carried out by researcher of the laboratory "Feed and metabolism" Samokish N. V. and laboratory assistant Chabanova I.

The obtained results indicate that the cross of meat chickens "Smena 8" is not inferior to foreign analogues in viability, growth rates and quality of meat of broiler chickens and should be in demand among domestic producers and consumers.
