The Goldberg Machine Building Technology Championship is part of the 2035 Challenge federal project, designed to create a community of technology enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, among young people. The championship is held nationwide with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
Welcoming the participants, representatives of the STI Circle Movement, the Stavropol State Agrarian University, as well as the Deputy Minister of Education of the Stavropol Territory noted the importance of forming a community of technological enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. The creation of such amazing, absurdly complex and completely useless mechanisms as Goldberg machines develops engineering thinking, gives work experience for the result as a team, requires the combination of non-standard approaches and sober calculation.
More than 200 schoolchildren over 12 years old from the Stavropol and Krasnodar territories, the Republic of Dagestan took part in the qualifying stage of the championship. In the final, 8 teams from 5 cities of the region met - Stavropol, Mikhailovsk, Zheleznovodsk, Mineralnye Vody and Pyatigorsk. "Einstein" team from the village of Krasnogvardeisky, who participated in the qualifying stage, tried their hand in the final out of competition.
Competitions are held in 2 stages: qualifying and final. No more than 15 teams are allowed to participate in the final stage, scoring the maximum number of points based on the results of the assessment of passing the qualifying stage.
During the test, participants analyze customers' requests for the machine, formulate requirements, create a schematic diagram of the machine, obtain the necessary materials and equipment, create and test the machine itself, taking into account the formulated requirements for it. Then the teams make test launches, dock the participants' machines with each other, shoot video materials about the operation of the machines, and report materials are provided.
The teams that scored the most points during the final trials become winners of the competition to introduce the best practices to support young people's technical creativity in the “Challenge 2035” regions.
The winner was the "Gentlemen of Fortune" team from the Quantorium-Stavropol children's technology park. All of its participants received personalized invitations to the nearest regional project school “Future Practices”.
